At Westside we believe that taking care of children is essential in living out our faith. Jesus welcomed the children to join him during his ministry and in the same way we want to welcome children in our ministry at Westside.
You will find that we take extra caution to ensure the safety of your children. We require 2 teachers in every Sunday School and Caravans class. And each of these teachers must pass a background check before they are allowed to teach. In addition, each of our classrooms has windows in the doors so that parents may monitor their children from the hall if they choose. Of course, parents are always welcome to join their child's class for a Sunday if they desire to do so.
We love your kids and we hope that we communicate that message through our ministry. If you have any questions you may contact Megan Turner, head of our children's ministry, at

After Sunday School, the kids transition to children's church. We have a new and exciting curriculum for our children's church called KidMo. KidMo is a curriculum that utilizes video, games, scripture memorization, adult mentors, and a message. To learn more about KidMo click here.
Sunday Afternoons
Quizzing for this year has ended, and will begin again in the fall! At 4:30pm kids 1st-6th grade can participate in Westside's Bible Quizzing program. The quizzers are divided into 2 different age groups are taught accordingly. Our kids quizzing program is headed by DaVonne Lee, who loves to teach the Bible to kids through creative ways. For more information about Nazarene Children's Quizzing click here.
Sunday Evenings
Sunday evenings are Westside's "family service". During this service we encourage children to sit with their parents. Because of this we do not provide children specific program during the evening service. Many kids bring their coloring books and toys and sit with their families.
Wednesday Scheduling
Children worship in their own area on Wednesdays. During the school year, children have Caravans, a scout-like, Bible-based program with age-appropriate activities. Children earn badges by studying and practicing skills and knowledge. Click here to find out more about Caravans.
During the summer, children can take part in our Summer Kids' Challenge.
