Momentum & MAX
Momentum is a Kansas City District event that allows teens to use their talents in friendly competition. The areas of competition are too vast to list here, but here's a sampling: basketball, football, dodgeball, skateboarding, table tennis, instrumental, vocal, drawing, writing, and many more.
Teens who end in the top of their specific comeptition groups are eligible to continue and go to the regional competition called "MAX". If teens are planning on attending Momentum you must also download and fill out the form for MAX.
Nazarene Night at World's of Fun takes place on Friday night of the MAX, April 20, 2012

Summer Camps
Each summer provides the opprotunity for teens to go to camp with hundreds of other teens from the Kansas City area. In the past the senior high teens went to Youth Front South, while the junior high teens went to Youth Front West. The summer of 2011 both the Senior and Junior high teens will be atending Youth Front South. Camp for 2012 is June 4-9th, 2012.

Mission Trip
During the summer our student ministry takes a trip somewhere in the United States to serve a local community and often a local church. Teens have to qualify to attend Mission Trip by serving throughout the year in our local community. .
Mission Trip is tentavily scheduled for 6/25-30, 2012.
Recharge
Recharge is our annual "back to school" retreat that takes place every July or August. Each year we take about 90 kids and sponsors to Iowa and spend a weekend worshiping God, playing games, and developing friendships. Recharge is one of the biggest highlights of the year in our student ministry. You will want to come!

Breakaway
Breakaway is a single-night Kansas City wide event of over 1,000 teens. Teens meet at College Church in Olathe for a worship service and then travel to differnet locations throughout the night (bowling, skating, arcades, and a huge gym have been some of the past events). The fun ends at 6am Saturday morning when everyone goes home tired! Look for Breakaway in November!

JR High Retreat
This retreat takes place on the church grounds and provides an opportunity for our junior high boys and girls to develop in their walk with God. This reteat will feature break-out sessions, games and fellowship.
October 21-22nd, 2012
Winter Retreat
This retreat is only open to students in grades 9-12th and takes place at the City Union Mission camp grounds in Warsaw, MO. This retreat works on Team building and strengthening relationships with our Youth group. This goal is accomplished by offering break-out group sessions, games, discussion groups and fellowship.
NYI Retreat
Those students and adults that are voted onto the NYI council are eligible to attend this reteat. The NYI council will spend time discussing the effectiveness of current Youth activities and committees and determine what changes, additions or improvements need to be implemented. Through planning sessions the council will look at the MINISTRY, SERVICE, and DISCIPLESHIP aspects of our youth group and work at improving how we reach our church you and outreach to our community.
